Water storage and fire
Hello,
How to force settlers to use well to storage water bucket, then use stored water to extinguish the fire? My settlers go half map for water from river to extinguish the fire. Any advice?

Yeah I think it's a steward task, I have similar problems with filling the buckets , often though the bucket is next to a well , they take water from the lakes instead, also they seldom settle into the task, and drop a tea-cup of water in a bucket and then leave.
I use frozen buckets relocated to replace ice maker machines , a large bucket dumps out about 12 ice blocks , I can refill my cellar in a single night and have control of how many iceblocks are created.

Yes the Filling of Barrels & Buckets can be prioritized, but is primarily a Stewards Duty. That said, Place Small and Large Barrels near your buildings, and things that can catch fire. That speeds up the getting of water to douse flames.
Ok thx :)

In particular, I have found it practical to place barrels, namely small ones, in the tiles/spaces adjacent to production-type furnishings. Heat waves and lightning strikes that cause fire are rare even on forested maps, so most fires are generated by raiders who (as of the current build) tend to prioritize targeting on production structures, if not the settlers directly. This may change in the upcoming update where they may now simply set torch to any wooden walls to disrupt the entire village, but for now it is a great advantage to insta-douse the targets that they would set fire to minimize compromising the entire building it may or may not be housed in.
