How to have water, fish and lake?
I don't have water on my map. How can I have it? I can only store it with water barrel. My wooden well can't reach water anywhere in the map. Merchant can sell me fish dishes etc.

To add water to the existing maps, you will need to enable Dev Tools first. This is done on the experimental branch (only on Steam). For it to work, you'll have to change two files:

1) Find your game within steamapps in this location: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Going Medieval\Going Medieval_Data\StreamingAssets\Data\. Find file named GameSettings.json and open it with notepad. Look for the devTools line and change false
to true. Save the file.

2) Go here: %userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Foxy Voxel\Going Medieval\ . Find file global.config and open it with notepad. Look for the devtools and change false
next to it to true. Save the file.

Now start the game and go to Options > Game > Dev tool.

its only on experimental.....to enable dev tools on live you need the dev tool mod
theres 2 versions of the mod ones in active and i stopped following them so unsure if or which is current

basic idea is change the game files as above quote says (checking the experimental and live patch number line up before attempting you use a spare save of live (so make 2+ copies of your progress before trying) then enable experimental branch via steam library and add the water .....save and fast forward afew days / seasons to make sure you have not flooded the map then enable live un edit the files back to how they was and try the save on live worse case you have the back up save to fall back on

gotta be careful not to over write the live back up save and as i said the patch note numbers have to match up

at somepoint the devs want to give us the option of using the dev tools on live but currently the devs view the dev tools as needing some work before that happens

danger is as mentioned you miss click and flood the map

----------------

currently the devs are on holiday till the 7th jan but the other option is you send the file in to the devs
