I can't assign a settler as the Prison Warden.
So I had a guy set as the warden, then i fired him, to choose another with higher interest in it. There is litterally nothing in his private chamber but his bed, and the other 2 criterea have already been met. It shows it as HIS chamber, but the option to make hi the warden is still greyed out. Anyone know how to solve this glitch, or am I missing somthing?

*** Solved: So apparently I needed to wait for the clock to tick over to the next day after the one where the first settler got fired, then I could assign the new one.

He is Speech LVL 15, and the requirements are Speech lvl, Private chamber, and to have a prison cell. All of thee requirements have ben met. Where did you see that they have to be equiped with a melee weapon, cuz the 3 requirements I listed are all that i has on the role description page...?

They are a Jailer. How many don't have Melee skills primary in Real-Life? That said, All mine are Melee and work fine.

I have not had the opportunity yet, but i was already able to assign another settler to the Role before, just not this one now... He meets the three criteria on the sheet, but it doesn't seem to recognize he has a private chamber, so i cant assign him to that community position.

Did you build the Warden's Desk in the settler's private chamber?

No I have not, but I was able to assign one as a warden already as things stand. It's just that after I fired him, and tried to change to another settler, it doesn't recognize his private chamber even though its the same chamber that the other guy used to be in when he was warden. It even says its the new settler's chamber by name when checking the room, but in the role assignment screen the "Has private chamber" is is red and not recognizing its been met, so the assign button is greyed out. it's obviously a bug as i was already able to assign a warden previously, and it's all the same except which settler I am trying to assign the warden role now. thats it. However I cant seem to find a way around this bug. The desk I believe is part of the 2nd tier of the warden's role requirements...

I will have to assign him a melee weapon and see if that helps, but i think he is melee already. Will have to confirm next time I play though.

It does sound like a bug. You may also want to try moving the warden's desk out of the room and back inside. Maybe just reassigning settlers' rooms doesn't play well with the roles system.

Portland, you should also Verify Game Files then reload the game. Doing that fixes many Reported Bugs in the game. 👍👍💖🌟🤠🎅
