How does one make bread?

I have barley (wheat) but theres no option I can find to make bread, which is weird since it keeps appearing in my inventory. Am I missing something??

You do not oder the settlers to make a specific meal, ordering your settlers to make food leaves them to produce all kinds of food depending on the ingredients they have to hand. Barley leads to bread while eggs give stuffed eggs and meat turns into cooked meat and so on.

So basically if you want bread, forbid your cooking-station to use anything but barley and then produce some food there.

Galadon3 nails it tho, as Players can EDIT the FOOD's they want to make, and the Resources used to make Food.

Nope, NiceGuy was correct in his statement. The OP wasn't asking how to make bread exclusively. He was asking how it gets made without specifically ordering settlers to make that specific food item.

Since he pointed out that it keeps showing up in his inventory, then this means he's already making bread at the food stations and NiceGuy explained how the system works with multiple ingredients.
