Extortion seems a little Unbalanced.

Give us 300+ in valuables or cash that you don't own or you, and your Wooden hut on the 2nd season with 5 people with spears and no armour, are worthy of complete destruction by 8 men and 2 catapults. Just for us, IF YOU DO PAY, to come back again after a while to destroy your now Limestone church while you dont have armour cause research is slow. with EVEN MORE PEOPLE. xD

Why even build above ground on any difficulty? Just live on a mountain like a dwarf and never lose.

whar? i haven't seen extortion be this egregious, and i'm pretty much brand new to the game with no external help

this feels like an overexaggeration because i've had more expensive "offers" (scams) from negotiators with no siege weapons and still bad combat stuff (i.e no armour, only weapons salvaged from enemies) and i've still been able to handle these just fine so far without losses

also research massively speeds up when you get more people working on research benches so i think you're just doing something wrong

I mean it beats getting straight up raided but its a lot of money.

i have no idea how you're encountering catapults that early then when i've almost made it to winter and still only see enemy raiding parties with MAYBE two competent soldiers at most and no siege weapons... (with the ransom demands being higher as well mind you - most recent one was more than 400 gold IIRC)

It's okay its such a frequent threat, the more they throw it the easier it is to deal. Its Survival on Normal - didn't expect it to be Siege weapons at the 2nd - 3rd Extortion.

I guess I asked for it. But it's just annoying the more expensive my Building becomes the more It hurts to replace everything when I dont get any people/decent people joining.

I always ignore the extortion events and just wait until enemy approaching to prep

Well I do agree the negotiation requests are insane. To the point where I don't even look at them anymore let the timer run down then just massacre the invaders. Then again my castle does have alot of wealth 1000+ days in so that could also be why they want a literal mountain of goods/gold everytime.

Well if you can make it up to the Treasury you can borrow some coins I guess. Though nothings has made it past that kill-box at the entrance.
