Usually, draft, wait a second and undraft fixes these little quirks, but not this specific one.
A room with a campfire near your underground base entrance might work. Make the room large enough to fit the entire caravan.
Edit: Nevermind. While they do work for the caravans not entering my base, my settlers still don't go to their beds for some stupid reason.
i wonder if having a caravan "trading post" would solve them wasting time trying to get into the base? sure its possibly exploitable for traps, so just make it so there cannot be objects surrounding the post and problem solved.
