Some suggestions about "Starting a New Life: Advanced Custom Resident Talents
Dear "Going Medieval" developers,

Hello. I am a passionate fan of "Going Medieval" from China, with the Steam name YuQiu. I have already logged 214 hours in this game, and my friends and I love it deeply. However, some recent updates, particularly the "Talent System," have made us somewhat unhappy. Although you mentioned that the talent system aligns with the medieval concept of residents having their strengths and weaknesses, we find it lacks inclusivity.

Previously, in the advanced customization options, we could customize each person's talents or interests, allowing for better task allocation. To reduce the game's difficulty and suit our preferences, we would create three "lord-level" characters at the start, which helped us better manage the game and design our desired towns and castles. The current talent system doesn't allow this and requires us to slowly set each person's talents, which is very tedious and complex. This is not what we want. While it might be more realistic, sometimes we prefer the freedom to control the initial residents' talents and abilities.

I have discussed this issue with my friends for a long time, and we unanimously agree that we need the ability to customize each person's talents in the advanced settings at the start of the game. We believe this wouldn't affect any game content and would maintain our motivation to continue supporting "Going Medieval."

Once again, thank you to the "Going Medieval" development team. I hope you will seriously consider and respond to my feedback, which represents not just me but also thousands of loyal "Going Medieval" fans. Thank you!

Sincerely,
YuQiu

I like the addition of the Passionate and Eager preferences / bonuses to the background options. This makes background (backstory and background selections) much more useful in the game, as prior to this change for most of these the points cost was the same as the bonus, basically just a way to get a more descriptive and character driven score for your skills. But I do agree, I think that this should be an option for those that prefer it.

yes I think in the advanced setting we should be able to customise it.

I agree wholeheartedly. If the traits, titles, and pseudonyms more clearly had minor and major preferences for all duties this would be much easier. As the system currently exists, I agree, the previous method for character creation allowed for greater flexibility. I know the devs are committed to the backstory method, I just wish it allowed for the same level of flexibility as did the previous character creation method.
