Yet another post with interesting mountain maps

Hey folks,

I was looking to start a new settlement and began the tedious task of searching for an interesting mountain map seed to begin a new game. I thought I'd again share some of the maps I came across that I thought had interesting topography for building settlements and castles. All of these use the Mountain and Large map settings:

This one has a nice u-shaped river forming a nice-sized peninsula. I feel the higher elevation area between the rivers is somewhat small for building too much, but the lower area is quite nice.

This is similar to the map above just with a larger area surrounded by the river. The higher elevation area is quite large, giving the player some options of where they would like to settle their town.

This map was difficult to get a good screenshot to show off the land. It's another map with a peninsula of land on the right. This one somewhat bean-shaped. It's more narrow than the maps above, but I think the topography is still pretty interesting for building a town/castle.

My personal favorite of these. This map has 2 peninsulas that could very easily be turned into islands (it's always advisable to save before major changes to water-flow in case of excess flooding or strange water behavior). I think the smaller island on the left would make a great bit of land for a castle, while a bridge could be built to connect it to the other island where there is plenty of room for a decent-sized town.

This is another map that was difficult to get a screenshot to really show it off. This map has a river that starts off the left side of the screenshot and makes a gradual 90ish degree turn, separating more than half of the dreaded red border area from the mainland. I think this is the least interesting, topographically-speaking, of all the maps I found. Yet it is also probably the most open for building; with good resources that are fairly centrally located and a large hill in the top-left of the screenshot that could serve as the foundation of a decent-sized castle.
