Cellar too cold?
I dug a cellar 2 layers deep, 7 by 5 wide, with clay walls, wood floor and two torches. For some reason, the cellar, and even the small room in front of it right after the stairs down are at a constant, perfect zero degrees. I thought, at least with wood floor i would hit a constant temperature of about 1-2 degrees, so i could still ferment. Looking at the stairs in leading down, the temp drops from 8 dregrees directly to zero. Is this a bug?

Bug. I have a room 1 level below ground that stays at 32F no matter how many torches or fire pits I put in it. Just outside the room in an underground tunnel, it is 56F. Have the door open to the room and it still wont go above 32F

Im having a similar issue. I built a food cellar which is 0 c in some spots and a whopping 10.7 c in others. I have no clue why this is because its all dirt and should have a low temp.

I think temperatures are all over the shop ATM
Still testing various methods, levels underground, wall material, floor/no floor and such to see what occurs

Has anyone got a hampster and wheel?

Yeah I have paused playing atm til this is fixed. I know it's petty but I can't ferment anything

well, I can - there are a few tiles here and there in a room where the tile is the right temperature, but no logic to it. Bug for sure

how should it be?
I've read that we have to dig a cellar to protect food from spoiling.
in my game its Spring now. not too hot..
I dug ALL the way down and it says 6 Celsius. 1 above that it's about 7 degrees Celsius is far too much and the food still spoils too quickly. is that right like this ?!

It can't be right that we have to dig right down to the bottom corner for this to work. I also had the bug with 0 degrees Celsius in the last " try". It no longer occurs now.
It doesn't make much sense like this because the food did not last much longer that at the surface.
i know its a EA Statestate but this is for me a gamebreaking problem..sadly. i kinda like that game.

I have similar weird temperatures recorded in my food cellar. Ice blocks melting, ice machines refusing to work, food going off, and my cellar is actually sitting on the granite underlayer of the game three floors down with a limestone block floor.

When I dig new rooms in the depths they are always 0`. Exiting to the main menu allows the engine to recalculate the temperature and then it is displayed correctly. At least it worked for me.

I have played before and dug cellars well above bedrock and had them colder than I am getting currently.

I have a cellar at bedrock which will not go below 4.7C there are no torches in the room. There is a door at the top of the staircase as well so there is no heat that should be getting into the room. Yes the door is a regular door not wicker.

It seems very random.

I actually notice my cellars are colder in the summer than in winter that makes no sense to me at all.
