You have to just fool around with pen sizes to decide what you want. I have sort of medium sized pens for my goats and sheep, maybe like 8x8 or 10x10. A slightly larger one for the chickens, they die off but also seem to propagate quicker and can give you constant eggs. Then, larger ones for the cattle and deer. I use 2-4 feed troughs depending on the size of the pens so they don't get hungry too fast. You can, also, designate what type of animal fodder to put in your troughs, so it's good to use hay for the cattle, anyway, as it saves on you having to produce a lot of animal feed all of the time.
