Give us a Dungeon please!
I really want the possibility to build a dungeon and a torture chamber. Maybe together with a basic juridical system. Settlers could steal items or commit crimes like attacking others or even commit murder.

Or, at the very least, toss a surviving Bandit into shackles and give them a chance to do some honest work, for a change - Cheers :keeponsmiling:

Dungeon seems okay, though I'm not sure how dungeon'ish it would look like given visual style of the game.

What about iron (dungeon) doors, buckets, bunks, wall shackles, torture tools and racks? They could have a fear value to impress the prisoners. You could also implement a recruiting system for imprisoned bandits like in Rimworld or Kenshi by the way the best game ever made :)
You could assign a dungeon ward who's job is to persuade the prisoners. The skill level would determine how fast a perpetrator will become a normal working settler again.
There are possibilities to implement a system like that it works for similar games.

Yes, yes, 'Judge not, lest we be judged'.
But, A) Does anyone come away from a 'torture dungeon' as NoRmAl? I don't think so :taloslol:; and B) a Torture Dungeon seems well, fetishist - sorry.

You don't need to implement torture animations if you don't want to change the tone of the game. Even in real medieval times the tools were mostly just shown.
Imprisonment is not really a medieval concept though. It's more an early modern age thing.

maybe not a dungeon, but a jail. having settlers commit crimes and become unruly could happen if their needs are not met, such as not being able to rest, eat enough, and do recreation. could even throw in a few optional traits to take that might make certain characters more prone to becoming unruly. having them in jail for a few days could in turn ''calm them down'' and having a captured raider in jail could be a good way to ransom him with that clan to get items in return for his release, or you could keep them to make them work and have a higher chance of his fellow bandits coming back to raid and rescue him.

Such a bother when you can use debilitating punishment, isn't it?
