Inside of covered barn has outside temperature
I have a barn with wooden walls on two sides, with barn door, other sides are up against indented raised terrain. Whole thing covered by thatched roofs of varying lenghs. No gaps that I can see.

Brazier inside for winter.

Floor of barn registers as OUTSIDE, so barn is cold-snap temperature.

I am doing something wrong, but what?

yeah, it's the barn doors. They don't act as normal doors.

Also, just fyi, animals don't need heating in winter. Just some covering (roof).

Thanks guys.

Yes, replaced barn door with ordinary one kept open and now OK.

Animals may be fine in cold-snap temperatures with just a roof but that could become more realistic (deep-frozen chickens?) in future game updates.

The reason I have a warm winter "barn" is more because of my settlers. In winter the barn is full of non-hauling animals (sheep, chickens, bunnies in my case) who don't mind resting on stockpiles of wood and suchlike. My settlers can spend time there harvesting etc.so I kindly warm the place a little. Probably unnecessary, but that's just me.
