Windows kept crashing while playing game?
Has anyone encountered this issue? My computer only crashes while playing this game, and works fine for every other games I've played. I'm about to give this game up completely.

I had hard lockups of my machine while playing and listening to winamp.

May not be related but since i stopped using winamp at the same time, the problem hasn't occured.

I cannot play this game, it crashes after a couple minutes :(

I've had several, though not since they began fixing crashes in recent patches (granted, I also haven't attempted to play too much... due to the crashing). I gave a detailed report with no response. Someone else pointed out in that thread that it looks to be an issue with how the game handles memory (e.g. a leak) and the couple of crash reports that Windows managed to spit out indicated as such. In most of my cases, it's been a critical crash, with the computer automatically restarting and a couple of full lockup freezes that required a hard restart. I've never had this happen with anything other than this game on this computer and went through a very thorough check of my entire system the second time it happened (mostly out of shear paranoia) and found absolutely nothing wrong.

Thankfully the devs have stopped saying, "Oh how weird," so I guess the best thing to do now is to try to detail the crash as best you can when it happens, because obviously the crash cat is not going to show when the system locks up or does an auto restart.

Yes, the issue i'm having is the same, 3 minutes into the game and computer freezes. i checked everything (i though it was the OC on my graphics card) but everything i tried didn't help at all, i also updated drivers.

This is the only game that i have consistent crashes on, and i play a lot.
i think i will just ask for a refund, but i wanted to try the game

I have the same problem. Freezes after 5-20 Minutes, always critically such that I have to do a hard reset. It's pretty annoying to have no crash report whatsoever. The event logger's report is just "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.". Pretty useless.

UPDATE: I'm playing in window mode and had no crashes anymore...

Are you playing the latest version (0.8.28)? We've gotten various crash reports since the launch of the game, but the majority of those have been fixed. Since a lot of people (with different PC configurations) play our game, solving some of the crashes was not that easy.

Can you try a couple of things to solve this issue. In the game's Options > Graphics:
- Turn off V-sync
- Limit Framerate cap to 60 or
- Limit Framerate cap to 30

I don't guarantee that this is a fix, but I wanna find out what is it related to.

Alternatively, the best thing you can do is - once the crash happens, find the Player.log file in the

%userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Foxy Voxel\Going Medieval\

And send it to us over to support@foxyvoxel.io with the mail title Crash and mention this Steam discussion.

I know it may seem like a hassle, but it would help us a lot.

And let me get this straight - this crash appears on every new game, all the time, after 10-15 minutes of play?

Thanks for all of the info

Love this game but can't fix the crashing of my computer because of it. Very frustrating

Best guess cpu overheat or something graphics related. I run it for 6-10 hours a session on the weekend with no crashes.

Crashes on me, only game that does. Oh well, going to buy starfield next weekend and then I'll be gone for a long time lol.

I am locking this thread as the original problem is probably resolved. If you are experiencing crashes, check this:

Also, be sure to check your drivers. I really wish to help you as who knows what might cause the crash - does it happen all the time? How long can you play without the crash? Does it occur in specific event - do you always try to do something and it crashes?

Do let me know, and be sure to send Player.log to that mail I mentioned.

Thanks!
