How many iceblocks?
What am I doing wrong? I mined to lowest level possible, i have about 70 ice blocks in that room. Unless outside temperature gets under 5C, my room stays above 0C and i cant produce ice.

ice blocks prevent exceeding 4°C.

Dig deep (that you have already done) and wait till cooler temperatures in winter. I can produce underground ice from fall day 10 to spring day 2.

so we can never produce ice during spring and summer?
what's the point of ice then if we cant make freezer rooms?

The point of ice is: cool down the room to store food. below 4°C food will never spoil in that game.

turn the hallway into another room. there was a guide that explained temp mechanics. also stack clay on surface level of the room(s) in question.

I couldn't see it on your screenshot but have you put a door on the room? If not then the game treats it as outside. Generally I don't even worry about ice as the room, which is only two levels down from surface level, never gets above 4 degrees.

i actually do have more rooms. and yes there is a door.
but my problem is solved i didn't know that food doesnt spoil below 4C. So its ok, i produce ice in winter and its enough to last through summer below 4C. Thanks!
