Proper schedule?
What’s the ideal schedule? My settlers wake up starving and end up eating in my granary.

No real ideal since some settlers have traits/perks effecting amount of sleep, etc. I found giving them a grey square after they wake up helps them sit and eat more often since leisure or work isn't queued up. I monitor each settler and have them on overlapping schedules, and tweak each one, throwing in a nap if necessary. That said, it's still inconsistent because sometimes settlers ignore their schedules leading to exhaustion, get stuck standing on their beds and not registering sleep etc.

I custom tune the schedule to the settlers mood. There are alot of variables with their traits, how far they are typically traveling to work or between leisure areas etc. I run a 7 hour sleep schedule with 2 hours of leisure after they wake up 8 hours anything and another leisure hour. I set everything else to anything, then fine tune from there. Some settlers I'll split to 4 hours sleep 1 hour leisure 8 anything then 3 hours sleep 2 leisure and the rest anything. I used to use the work command alot more, but use found lately just using anything works alot better. Look at their mood sliders to fine tune.
