cannot place bookshelf

I get the error "cannot be placed. Can only be place on a wall element or ground voxel." I have a wall, a floor, I don't understand.

I had that problem with the torches, i think you will need to adjust the layers you can see, that helped me able to place the wall torches on walls i wanted.

Think if you try using x and z to change levels may help.

ok, I found it, I need to change level to the .5 one. It's confusing because I can see the items of the stockpile upstairs at the same time.

Finally put up a bookshelf. I was expecting to be able to store chronicles on it to protect them from decay, but it seems the bookshelf is only decorative? I don't see a way to move chronicles from stockpiles to bookshelf

bookshelfs are only needed for the room type bonus, but there cant be stored books
