Limestone Bricks and Ladders

Hi,
simple noob questions here...
Can i make simple ladders going straight down?

How do i make limestone bricks. I have stonemasons bench, limestone pile near bye and the production queue set. But i cant force any villagers to cut them. Do i need ...iron tools?

If i remember right, it's related to the "craft" task.
So you'll need someone with a higher priority in craft to do that job.

For now there are no ladders. I think a Dev answered this question before: There were ladders but they caused some problems so for the EA release they disabled them and are working on fixing them.

I have all things I need but still no bricks produced in either stonemason or klin.. cannot understand that... any ideas?

Have you setup a recurring task in the appropriate workbench?

And setup job priorities correctly so there's someone actually trying to do the task?

Yes I did, and I have people even hauling stuff yet no one is picking up those 2 things.. they do all other tho... no clue why

If you force assign someone to 'prioritise production' on the stonemason bench. do they go do it or do they immediately do something else? If that is the case it can mean they cannot reach it. What is you queue set to? Amount = 1? Forever? Until you have 1?

I will check with forcing, other than that it was set to until I have 100 or so, I tried other options as well but did not work

so actually if I force them to use them they work, but not automatically :(

1. Take one person and change their settings in the jobs menu so crafting is their only #1 priority. Do they automatically work on it then?

2. What is your production queue set to (e.g., "forever", "amount 10", or whatever)?

can be skill level too low. I think they need crafting at lvl 8 or 10
can be you don't have enough limestone I think you need 8 to get 20 limestone bricks.

the other is you have crafting not set to 1 for someone for automatic crafting tasks.

so I noticed that they actually work on both of the items (limestone and clay bricks) only when there is nothing (like really nothing) else to do, even if they have highest priority

I hope ladders become a reality eventually. Scaffolding as well for particularly tall builds.

You can build a scaffolding from wall pieces, beams, floors and stairs

The problem with this is that with just a wall piece and stairs, you are still taking up 4 spaces.

Going on December here and that's still my biggest qualm with this game. Stairs are fine in a limited set of applications. There is a desperate need for ladders though.
