Best trap, best bug! xD
1. Find a ditch near spawning points. Then remove from it the existing stairs and add 2 of your own on both sides of it. And place someone not far from each of these stairs.

2. Then when enemy appears, you guide them to follow you into the ditch and as soon as the most of them walk into it. Use your loyal followers on both sides of the ditch to destroy your stairs.

Now you're probably thinking to yourself. But how do you destroy the stairs in time??? Good question and let me reassure you that destroying it partially is currently not an option.

3. However and that's the best part. because this system is still broken. All you have to do is draft your settler and guide them over to the stairs as close as possible, even if you have to take few hits. Then select the stairs to be DECONSTRUCTED and deactivate DRAFT option and prioritize the settler closest to it to deconstruct it. And as soon as your settler gives it a hit or even half a hit. You draft your settler again and run away, while the stairs collapse instantly and your enemy don't know what just hit them.

So now you have your own personal cattle, for when you need some food, for emergency times or who knows what. Your own personal prison! :grimreaper:

Its bad enough that archers seem OP right now to begin with.

Another idea I had was to make some beams and build a floor on top of them and make sure that the ground structure is going to rely on 1 beam by the end of it all. And make sure that one side of the beam is exposed. So you can be very far away and when enemy walks over the trap floor/ground. Then you give it 1 good hit on that beam! Then the while structure collapses and they all end up in a ditch. But that may require a lot more preparation. :accat:

Well to be fair I tried this on Survival Mode + Hard + in the damn Mountains! Also there is nothing wrong with making your own traps. Those could exist in real life too. That's not exactly a cheat. If it was a ladder, I could take it up or something. But there was no ladder.

wait until the Enemy attacks u with Warbow Archers.. i have this problem right now... My Longbow Archer on top of a Wall behind Merlons are Inside the Warbow Range (with the Lower Ground debuff) and yet The Enemy Archer is outside my Longbowrange (with the Higher Ground Buff) it takes 4 hits from those and my People are Roadkill

American... its the actual Slur in itself.... and the one who told me this ... actually is a Born and raised US American who lived his whole life (and still does) in LA County....

I just build a moat (dry as there is no water =P) around the settlement except for the main entrance. Build a serious defense there and just spam the enemy with arrows as soon as they get near the door. =)

I haven't dug a moat yet, it'd probably make my palisades a bit more interesting.
I wonder if they'll add enemy ladders and boarding.

I haven't dug a moat yet, it'd probably make my palisades a bit more interesting.
