Run in background
Anyone figure out how to get this game to run in the background?

have the same problem - as soon as it is not in focus, the game will pause.
That sucks since you're not able to do something on other screen while waiting.

The game requires "focus" to function. Focus is a programming term to define what the user is currently selecting. So pressing the SaveButton is a Focus of [SaveButton, GameMenu, GameScreen] (child:parent relationship) .. basically. So to Windows, it would be [GameScreen, Windows], and when that loses focus of it's parent "Windows", the game pauses until it is True again. So, aside from it possibly being a programming decision, which I have used before when designing, it is also more likely to be a game design decision, that if you aren't actively playing the game, time should not pass - which I would agree with entirely. It should not run in the background.

I have 3 monitors and I am only allowed to use one while I sit here and wait doing nothing irl for days for my few villagers to cut down an entire forest? Background running should be an option. It's 2021

Game should not run in background? Bullcrap. They may not have it coded that way, but it's insanely annoying to slide my mouse to my second screen, type a reply to something a friend has sent me in discord, and watch all my little sleeping villagers FREEZE.

Besides. If it's a should/shouldn't, player can save, set the game to high speed, and walk away to the bathroom or dinner or whatever and it will just run forward as long as the main screen is active.

This game needs to be like so many other games these days and give you the choice.
