Central hill seed?
I have started a few games, 10-ish, trying for a nice central hill to build a hamlet on. But all I get are, no matter map type, a central valley and small hills that are edge adjacent and don't have enough room to build anything particular on. Does anyone have a seed for a nice central hill?

157960218 hillside map

Spotted this one through the videos of a Youtuber named Uthris.
It's a nice map where you start on top of a large central hill, plenty of space for a castle + village.

1860552803 Mountain (map size Large)
Disclaimer - This is not a true central mountain but it can be.

1. Large flat spawn area at layer 10.
2. Everything slopes down and away from this large flat area gradually towards the edge of the map. Except two corners which are mountains that reach layer 14, but they don't take up too much space as they are fairly steep.
3. There are two large patches of grass. One directly on spawn with ample room for all crop needs. A Second further to the edge with plenty of space for trees to be spawned.
4. It can be transformed into a really great central mountain due to the high base layer with a solid amount of excavation (which youll be doing anyway for clay and limestone right?)

I've dug through hundreds of seeds, probably some more than once tbh, and this is the best I've found. Everything else was kind of trash, didn't have any well placed grass fields, or the landscape was just too jagged, or they were all bowls with the lowest layer in the middle.

TL:DR - 2 layer 14 mountains in opposite corners, 2 convenient/flat large grass fields, large flat central area at layer 10, everything gradually slopes down and away from there. Mine the central area into your central mountain top.

Seed Codes

1421379946 – Hillside, great castle, lots of resources if you like center hill.
758342177 – Hillside flat compared to others, has lots of limestone.
12345 – Super flat!
785533982 – Hill
458424 – Mountains! Plenty of soil for farms, just build around it.
1604746932 – Valley. Flat with a bit of iron and some limestone on the surface, more like hillside with iron, but flatter.
657024048 – Rohan seed 😉
125770909 – Hillside. Very large and high hill shaping a triangle with a face sticking to west bound and the opposite angle at the center of the map, very good to build big castles hanging on cliffs, very easy to defend and lot of resources.

these are some of the seeds I know!! :steamhappy:

Try 0 (i.e. zero) and hillside.

You start on level 5 next to a hill that climbs to level 9 and slopes down toward the map edges. Another nearby peak rises to level 12. Lots of green. Visible Iron, coal and other important resources are not far from the summit.

Check out the Going Medieval Wiki for some good map seeds. And don't forget to submit your own good seeds to the Wiki.
