can you do a shield wall?

hi everyone.
the towershield description says something about making a shieldwall. can you do it ingame or not?
aalso it said it is quite good against arrows. is that true/is there a attruibute for that?

Shields offer cover in the same way that window and merlons do. A small buckler only gives 20% cover, but a tower shield is double that.

So I would imagine you could line up a bunch of archers behind a row of guys holding tower shields and get the same level of cover as firing from a window. I expect if the enemy AI was better this would be a nasty combination to fight against.

Just dig a trench that zig zags to a door, line it with traps. Ive had raids where I only used 2 or 3 archers to fight off with no worries while the rest eat drink and sleep.
If the enemy raid has no archers, every fight feels like Neo doing the bored one arm defense vs agent Smith.

The cover system works by having archers within 3 squares of something that gives cover, they gain it. Such as merlons or shields if your archers are within that 3 squares they are covered from archer fire by the %, for tower shields its 40%
