What's the point of Clay Bricks
I have a bunch of clay, I researched Clay brick making... but I don't see an option to build clay brick walls. I can't seem to find the research for it either... am I missing something or is this a feature not yet added?

click walls, then you will see multiple build vairants. (wood, limestone, clay, clay brick, limestone brick.) near by on the right, with the descriptions) this is how i discovered wall torches, lol. Other then that theyre the same strength as limestone brick walls and should probably just be used as outer defence walls, an aesthetic thing

LumpEnthusiast said it very well, so yes, clay brick walls have the same strength as limestone brick walls, but depending on which map you're playing, clay brick might be your choice on valley maps, as you'll have plenty of clay while limestone is quite rare.

I legit don't have that option... Am I on a really old version or something?
Here is an IMGUR screenshot of my wall variants [imgur.com]

Yup, I am dumb... had to make some bricks first. Thought I did but they were not finished yet.

Did you build a KILN? You need a kiln to produce clay bricks. Then only Clay bricks will appear in your base builder under walls section.

Yeah, but clay walls have the worst amount of hit points at 150. Clay is even weaker then wood at 200. There is really little point to build out of clay, even if the goal is insulation, you get better insulation from just dirt by digging.

Aesthetics. It’s a really nice brick. I built my chapels and paving out of it. Good contrast with limestone brick.

Have you manufactured any bricks yet? If NO then build a kiln and start crafting them.
I normally set up one settler to haul and craft and he will keep making bricks in the kiln for as long as the clay supply lasts.

Almost all of my construction is clay brick. It's the easiest most abundant resource there is. Normally I have 2 or 3 kiln's going full time 24/7. It levels construction up to boot.

I use clay brick like crazy for flooring. It gives a noticeable speed boost.

Thanks for the tip! On a map where you can mine coal, that would be a great option.

You can make coal in the kiln, just make sure you grow some extra trees.
