You can click-drag to select everyone pretty easily. As for commands, as far as I'm aware and seen they only take direct commands if you have them drafted, and I've had no issues getting all 10 of my people to go to specific spots when drafted.
There is definitely an issue. I experienced this many times, when a raid starts you select & draft everyone and send them all up to the towers - and usually 1-3 of them don't go but the rest do. So you have to watch and make sure they are all going to the destination you set.
I'd love to see a town bell. Build it somewhere, then when you ring it all settlers become drafted and run to that spot.
And what I'd really really love (but don't expect to ever see it) are assigned posts. Basically you'd be able to set a certain spot for each settler to go to. Then ring the bell and have the settlers draft and run to their assigned spots to defend.
I like these ideas. Shouldn't be *difficult* to add...
