Zones for storage explanation
Each zone you create will fill from the start point you chose to create it.
If you create 2 zones the same, the 1st will fill before they use the other.
If you resize a zone, you have to start from your 1st create point unless you cover it in the new sizing,
If you are running at 5X speed pause the the game other wise they waste time putting things there you didn't want while you chose options.

Wish it were that simple, but it isn't. The whole system is bugged out and trying to explain it is going to be an impossibility until it is fixed.

Again; no, this is not how it works. Here are three examples where the stockpile DIDN'T fill the way you claim it works. Nothing was removed, nothing degraded, they simply were just filled in random spots instead of "filled from the start point".

Player create 2 zone (A & B): Zone A (1st create) & Zone B (create after zone A) (Example for Stew only), settlers will haul stew to Zone A until it is filled up before they will haul stew to zone B. correct?

Yes if the the game is running right, example is atm I cant build with hay even though I have lots on the stock pile its a new game in early access so expect anything to go wrong

No, I'm pointing out a flaw in what you said. Hell, I even gave photo evidence for it. This isn't a bug, this is just how it "works". There is no logic in how the villagers fill stockpiles yet.

The way stockpiles and hauling is bugged is in the fact that even if you have a stockpile set up, they sometimes will not haul to that stockpile at all (like in my second photo, I have 40K of clay laying around, yet people won't fill that stockpile. Also, as clearly shown, they have not filled any of those stockpiles in any kind of "orderly" fashion). And if you have multiple stockpiles set up for the same item, it'll bug out the villagers pathing.

Are you playing the experimental branch? And just because you think that's how it works for you, doesn't mean it is. Several people have reported THE EXACT SAME THING I've been saying. And sorry, but a picture is worth 1,000 words. My pictures clearly show that what you said is NOT how it works.
