I really wish they would speed up development
I know this is a small studio but it has been months since I've touched this and nothing has changed except for the addition of storage racks... I would love to come back and play a game that feels as if they have added anything. The game is still in such an unfinished state

EA. Early Access. Early Alpha. Alpha.

Your expectations are unreasonable.

Give them more money to hire more people to make the game better.

I feel the exact same way, they shouldn't have released it if they didn't have a set plan on how to keep the updates rolling.

wow :steamfacepalm:

.....ya'll did see the "early access" tag when you bought it, right? I mean, hell if you want a fleshed out finished game, wait til it's done....instead of grousing that YOU aren't patient enough to play early access games. smdh :steamfacepalm:

Everybody's talking about a finished game. I doubt one person here doesn't know this is an early access title. We pay for the privilege of early access at the developers discretion to hopefully steer the road map of development and its a legitimate complaint to not see regular updates or 'wish' for faster development of a title they are excited about. Not necessarily code changes but content in general. You PAID for early access to invest in the game and encourage the developers to make a game you want to see. It takes literally 1 minute to post something to show your still alive. Were not saying major code changes but there has to be a level of activity for us to provide feedback. What other possible reason would there be for early access release unless its for the money and if its all about that then its a bad investment period. The gaming industry early access program as a whole is fraught with risk and just like any investment I encourage everyone to invest wisely and do your research before jumping in. Be aware that early access investment is a long term ordeal no matter what the size of the team. We all would like to see some return on our investment although we all have different levels of deciding what a sufficient return is. Invest with your brain, not so much your heart in early access and you'll be disappointed a little bit less. While I can't condemn 'wishing' for something just look up 'If wishes were horses then beggars would ride."

we are not asking for a finished game, just for some real content coming.

- Corrected your statement.
Also, there is a roadmap for upcoming content for the zoomers.

I recommend you go buy Starsector. https://fractalsoftworks.com/

Not because it's a great game (though it is!), but because it'll make you better appreciate Going Medieval's pace of development 😜

11 years of early access, and counting 👍

Their development is a bit slow. I say this as someone with a fair bit of programming experience. However, they have been good about communication and the changes they have made have been well prioritized. While shelves might not seem that exciting, people have been asking for them, and the developers were already working on the storage/hauling system to fix bugs and add stockpile priority, so it makes sense to add features to the code they are already waist deep in.
i actually bought starsector recently lol..its a great game sorta like Mount and Blade but in space lol

Well you did choose the back the game in its EA state. Thats all EA is, backing a game. No one held a gun upto your head and said pay? You chose to read the EA agreement, saw it would take years but clicked pay regardless.

I feel sorry for EA devs these days. Seems they need to have a few updates ready to go before even entering EA just to keep the kids happy.

Early access in itself is not the issue; It's developers who use it as a shield to hide behind for years and years while still charging retail-level prices for an unfinished game.
