Why we have to keep books? I wish they could disappear after tech upgrade

I wouldnt mind the books so much, if the book cases held more than 3...
Could reduce the need for books and just make them harder to make.
No need for so much book spam.

Maybe build a library and put some walls inside and build bookshelfs on them.

bookcases hold 4 stacks of books in my game, i'm playing on the experimental

i assume that off experimental the bookcases hold 3 stacks of books

You can store enough books for the entire tech tree with 14 bookshelves, or 18 wall bookshelves. It's not so much of a burden.

The wall bookshelves hold 3 stacks of books, the larger bookshelves hold 4. You can put the wall bookshelves behind the research benches, and along narrow corridors (they don't block the space), so just line the walls of your library with bookshelves and you don't need to use any additional floor space to hold your books.
