Binocular zoom not working...

I have the pc version of the game... Mission 3, zoom doesn't work on the Bino's, it worked fine on missions 1 and 2, but now it doesn't.
I've validated the game files and I've checked the controls settings and 'zoom' is correctly set for the mouse scroll wheel.
Anyone else getting this?

Well, for me, it now seems to have sorted itself out... I've worked my way around most of the map in mission 3 and it started working again. I have made lots of saves as I moved through the map, along with new saves and overwriting saves, continually checking to see if the bino's would work.
Eventually, after I had got into abbey it was working again.
