I've completed exactly one survival game on authentic with other people, this was with another player who is one of the best. I've tried doing it a few more times but just end up dying after a certain point.
Hardest thing about authentic is the lack of "warning" icons on the screen to tell you where enemy soldiers are coming from--the little arrows and exclamation points that pop up when an enemy is near you but you just aren't looking straight at them. It's always been one of the hardest and most frustrating things about SE games on higher difficulty--being surrounded by enemies that you can't see because you don't have the camera pointing at them. I guess if you have a few players in your team then everyone has more eyes on the enemies, but a lot of players struggle just with hard where you do get those on-screen notifications.
For hard on solo I would say the main thing is to spot the first wave of enemies early on, and to start thinning them out so you don't get swarmed by them right when the next waves start coming in. You want as much distance as you can get so you can snipe them quickly without getting hit by them, because other than spotters and snipers they won't be able to effectively shoot you until they are very close. Once the enemies are thinned down to about 10 you can camp at the command point and kill them all one by one with a shotgun or smg.
Good stuff mate! I've played cadet and hard but lose most command posts. Even civilian keeps you very busy. What rifle config do u prefer?
For rifles I prefer the Mosin-Nagant and Kar98k, at max power both can kill any normal soldier with one hit, will often kill elite soldiers with one hit, and will definitely kill elites with two shots at most. Soft-point bullets will always kill elites with one shot if you use these rifles. The MN has more stability and I think it fires faster, but it only has 5 rounds in a mag so you have to be accurate and reload a lot. The Kar98k can have 8 rounds without compromising on power but it bounces a lot after shots so it is slightly harder to control.
For sidearms, I like the Sjogren because it fires fast and can often get one-shot kills even at medium range. Just be careful about reloading. SMGs are more accurate but mainly just stagger enemies and are best used defensively. The Sjogren can be used defensively or offensively but is best offensively when you just rush around ambushing enemies instead of waiting for them to come to you. The M1911 is a good pistol, or the new weird luger thing if you just want to spray bullets around.
Survival mode has offensive and defensive players. You can find a fighting style and weapon that suits you.
The best way is to accumulate a lot of practical experience. Joining a random team every day and observing how your teammates attack and defend can help you a lot.
Like the fifth map A-1, I used to stay next to the CP at the beginning, waiting for the enemy to enter my shooting range.
Once a teammate ran to the beach and kept pressing TTT, and I ran over to watch. Wow~~ Tons of enemies spawned on the beach, some of them are still crouching or standing.
We started shooting and pretty much cleared up pretty quickly.
If we all stay at the CP, the efficiency will not be so high, and we will even fall into a hard fight because a large number of enemies are approaching.
Because survival mode emphasizes teamwork
Usually the resources provided by CP are about two people. Some players take most of the resources by themselves.
Better players will take an appropriate amount depending on their personal circumstances. And in the subsequent battle, leave a car on the field to search for resources. The CP resources are reserved for urgently needed or newly joined players.
There are also smart teammates who maximize the use of CP resources. For example, if there is a medical kit left on CP's box, he will first throw his own medical kit on the ground, and then take CP's medical kit.
In this way, CP will have two medical kits available in the next round.
and so on…….
At present, they all choose Eastern Europe, where there are more people playing survival mode. And the connection is stable.
If you are the host, players will join soon.
The Asian region has the fewest players, and sometimes the lobby is even empty.
At least that's the case with me.
