This video is a great example of why those that say there is no sniping in SE5 choose themselves to play another way, at least most of the time. This is one of the better maps for sniping but it's not totally unique. Nice video.

I hear ya', I do the same in Kraken. I shoot as many as I can on the Carrier from the very start of the mission. Even when there's one guy left I'll run around trying to find a spot I can take the longest shot from. The Factory is another one, lots of long shots. my longest shot with the pistol is about 220yrds.

That scope has no sway at all -- it's like a turret... I hope Rebellion addresses this in the next game; at least, for "Authentic Plus" setting.

Holding your breath the gun won't sway, plus I'm also laying down. Standing or kneeling the gun will have more sway. I also turn my DPI on my mouse down to have better control over it.

Nogle som ved, hvor jeg vil kunne finde et kort med samtlige fjender påført 🤔

Agreed, the start of Spy Academy has some of the best sniping in the game. I have shot between 40 and 50 enemies from the starting point shown in OPs video. I counted them for the first time a day ago and got 41. The number is of course influenced by the reactions of the AI. When I run out if ammo, I kill the 2 guys at the truck and then go back up as far as I can with their rifle bullets. I would be interested how many others have achieved. I play seeking long shots constantly. Found a new one yesterday, shoot the lighthouse from the carrier. Like Davemon I find lots of long range sniping in SE5

Oh yeah I can sit there for like 30 to 45 mins just shooting from the starting point until I completely run out of rifle ammo.

Really cuts them down quite a bit.

...and keeps them puzzled too, lol. They're like "hey, WTF?"

Yeah I just keep shooting them and they just keep coming out. LOL

I can get like 50 NPCs long range from the starting point and never have to move.

The reason there is little sway is because I turn down the DPI on my mouse when aiming, gives me better control by micro-moving my mouse. Meaning that I move my mouse slightly to the left when the scope wants to move to the right and to the right when it wants to moves to the left. The same with up and down. You need to learn how to control it better, when I have time I can make a video on how to do it, if I don't control it, it will sway like normal so there's nothing for Rebellion to fix.

Why is it no one mentions the timestamp point of what they're referring to in their post? It's like they want you to watch a nearly two hr video instead of the 5 sec thing they mention!
You're using a terrible scope (don't know which rifle). I use the Mosin-Nagant with the greatest magnification scope, affording the greatest range. Your initial approach in stealth mode from the starting point is completely unnecessary; you may proceed all the way forward to the first fence standing upright with impunity, and you really shouldn't start firing until A) You get there, and B) You've located and marked all possible targets in range, and then, you take out all the snipers you've marked first. Stealth is a non-sequitur until you've dome that.

But, I must say that playing on a higher difficulty setting, you've got excellent marksmanship! Well done! No aim assist, no "Shoot now!" hints.

Standing isn't as good as prone when aiming and firing, the prone position gives you less sway when looking though the scope, plus I don't go prone to be stealthy I do it for stability when aiming. I only played the game in Authentic from the beginning. Don't believe in using aim assist or tagging enemy.
@ RadarLuv: You are 100% correct about firing from the prone position. I must confess that I don't take advantage of the inherent stability of that firing stance as much as I could, though. But, damn, you're a great shot! I tip my hat to you, player! :sniperelite:
