A ghost kill requires that the victim is not alerted. That includes, ironically, the shot that kills him because he will hear the sound right as his head explodes (which should not be as the sound is slower than the bullet for these rifles, but the game code has a goof there). It means he cannot have seen a body or anything to 'investigate', be wondering where his friend went, have heard or seen something, and so on. No explosion heard recently, all the usual suspects.
I get quite a few of them when I first enter an area -- long range shots with quiet ammo or a quiet gun (I use my SMG with a scope and quiet ammo, as its a lot lower detect radius). Once I get a few kills, though, some patrol invariable sees a dead guy and that is it on the ghost kills for a while, as he searches, alerts more guys, they find more bodies, and everyone is on high alert for the next 30 min, may as well just kill them or hide and take a nap.
"Loadout and Customation"
u set choised pistol "sound audible" to lowest possible
some power be good..
but it is the softtip bullets /ammo that be the ting maken it easy
and no fuzz getting those ghost kills.. :D
personally i like this nice spot... ready my weapons... makes a SAVE..
Mission 7: Lock, Stock and Barrels is a very good map to get those Ghost kills running
and keep on the job is done ;D

but u start with 3 close lake,, find the rytm.. and u take out 7-8
and restart from load the SAVE
*ops this is SE 5... but
annyways:
u get the draft....
softip bullets will make it happens,,
It was a huge turnoff to me that 5 requires multiplayer to unlock most of the characters and such too. 4 wins out as at least slightly better than 5 in a number of ways. 5 has very little that was actually better than 4 unless you just want to PVP.
i get to try out and feel some of the diffrence between the weapons
and play some weapons i wouldent had play else... i actually had fun with it
and yes some be grindy... but it still alouds u to have fun doing it
and i was suprised on how mutch i actually like test out
the many diffrent pistols secundary guns and rifles
but thats me,,,, good fun... far from scum and a turnoff
save scum is not an opinion on the game, its a cheating technique where you save, try, and load until you succeed at something. Like killing that guy with a rat bomb, you save, mess it up and shoot him, then you reload the game to try again, that is "save scum" -- a scummy way to cheat using the save game files.
and turnoff ... for one small part of the game on my comment. I would have liked to change my sniper persona without having to PVP which I dislike. SE5 is a solid, good game, but there are a couple of things I liked better in 4 -- like this one, unlocking the alternate personas solo.
and when u say save files
*u talking about the 15 optional manual Save slot avaible in the game... right ?
yeah ..like i dont focus about in-game achivements when playing. maybe bit aware about Steam achivements...though...
so u need to unlock stuff / tag the ingame achivements
get 50 ghost kills each pistol
i have no problem,, get into possition make a SAVE clearing out 7x 50 pistol ghost kills
aslong i try have to fun with i'm doing it
+ secoundary weapons / rifles - 37/37 medals
yes agree 4 had some spesiel with it...
