How To Use Bandages or Health Kit

This is gonna sound absurd but, how do I apply bandages? I press 'Q', spin the wheel over to bandage or health kit... but how do I "use" it? The keyboard bindings list several keys, but none of them do anything. I see a bandage in the lower right corner of the HUD.

Yes, default is F key, but on med-kits you need to hold the F key down to apply it. I usually hold it down for a bit on bandages too because the controls can sometime be unresponsive depending on your previous action.

when you get downed you use them to get back up again try not to waste them each one has a certain amount health they boost you by. so rather than using a band for 1 bar of health wait to use it when you lose 2, same for the whole kit. it takes slightly longer to use a full kit so make sure your not in an area getting hit

I deduced it was the 'F' key that "applied" the bandage or health kit. Trouble is, nothing happens. I've played all of the other ES shooters; this is the first one that has given me grief.

reset key bindings to default then check them all , the F key can be suicidal if you carry a loaded Sticky Grenade , as the F key is easily activated by mistake , i is best to load a sticky by hitting the number 4 key the use the G key key to change it`s function / sticky or none sticky, the icon bottom right of screen lets you know how it is set.
