But the game mechanics have been changing from game to game, so it wouldn't be easy to bring them all together.
I feel it would essentially mean to rewrite the entire game engine from ground up and only reuse each game's assets. But those would also need to be reworked to make them mutually compatible.
And even if they did all of this, many people would very likely complain that those necessary changes went against the spirit of the original games.
So I don't think this is realistically going to happen...
I'll rather see a remake of SE1.
The next step would be the cold war which have been covered/used in SE2. Also the pacifc is an option.
The real problem is that what are Sniper elite and what will it develop into?
SE 5 took the best from SE2. SE3, SE4 and simplified the game play.
Splinter cell which is in the same genre as sniper elite ended up being a linear stealth adventure with puzzle options.
Rebellion may chose to do something similar with the SE francise or start a new francise.
It can be a refreshing way to set the game renewal in WWII and story line can really suits the espionage and sabotage nature of the Sniper Elite games.
