Deluxe edition content

Message to the devs/store page managers :

There is literally NO INFORMATION on the Deluxe edition's content on the store page.

Really WTF. Does it come with content DLC ? Cosmetic items ? No way to know...

How do you expect people to make a choice ? I'm putting off the purchase for now. Big facepalm.

Yeah it's kind of inexcusable that they do that. Complete negligence, and from what I can tell purposeful to confuse you and get you to double buy things. That's unethical sales practice. If that's not it, then it's incompetence. Either way, bad.

But...if you go to the Rebellion website to the Buy Now page for SE5, you can click on the different sale packages and it will tell you exactly what's in each. You should not have to go there to learn it, but the store page is deliberately ambiguous.

I think it's a mix between the steam store page limitations (since the Deluxe edition isnt a pack but a separate version, it seems the devs can't display what's included in it the same way they did for the ultimate edition) and incompetence for not having a section called 'deluxe edition' in the product description.

TBH and after re-checking, it seems that I actually missed a line in-between two screenshots in the description that actually says that only the 1st season pass is included, it's really easy to miss, and not that clear anyway.

It seems a lot of this would have been fixed by having a single season pass, I mean games used to release complete, then studios started adding content (or witholding already-made content) to sell as DLC, then they started to implement a season pass for all this extra content, and now they're having multiple season passes.
Idk where or when it'll stop, and I'm not ready to support this. Will buy the 'complete' pack once it's under 15e (if I hadn't got annoyed at this, I'd have bought the game already, I wonder how many missed sales this practice caused).

It's even cheaper on Fanatical currently. I bought the deluxe edition for a few pennies over £18.

Thanks a lot, but I decided to hold up on it for a while, I have lots of games in the backlog (including SE3).
Also I'm being annoyed at their way to package content. I missed the days when one could just buy a complete game without the feeling of being a cash cow.

buy that and in my country / currency ,,it be way cheaper 427kr

and then u see a new picture
where under it... it says
Deluxe Edition includes Season Pass One

= very well hidden,,,and shoulda coulda been easy explained in the Store section by it self

for some reason i dont it's intentional just some that happens in the prossess
and they deals with dont catching up with it...

i have play since May 2022 with litle to non issues / + the litle that was has been patched up

That's not correct.
Season Pass One contains three missions: Landing Force, Conqueror, Target Führer
Season Pass Two contains two missions: Rough Landing, Kraken Awakes

So not two but five missions in total, plus multiple new weapons and skin packs.

I'd like to see a dev (or more realisticaly the studio's community manager) give some insight about this decision of splitting the content in multiple overpriced packs, or on using Denuvo for that matter, but that will NEVER happen, as they know that kind of practice is fundamentaly anti-consumer and indefensible.

I wonder if they realise they're essentially promoting piracy as players *will and do* look for alternatives.

Answering the part about multiple packs is simple: they developed and released the DLCs over a long period of time. It didn't all spring all into existence at once. That's why there are multiple packs.
