Is the deluxe edition worth it?

It looks like it only includes season pass one so I guess the question would be whether season pass one is worth the extra price

Is it worth it?
Maybe not for the asking price equation to the game. The standard game has good replayability and having another two maps of the same at higher price doesn't feel a good value. SE4 Deluxe was a much better price value than SE5 Deluxe.
While I admit making content isn't free, they set the standard with SE4 Deluxe and is disappointing to see that it didn't match the same standard this time around.

It's very strange that the season pass costs more than the base game. If that's all it offers, then I guess I'll give it a pass. I didn't play the DLC for SE4 either

They seem to have settled for a budget game price for the base game but premium prices for the DLC which is kind of weird since most people won't get the DLC.

I have SP1 but not SP2, when I got the deluxe version of the game I thought that it would give you all the DLC, but unfortunately it only gives you SP1. SP1 just hasn't been good enough to make me interested in SP2.

The only DLC level in SP1 that I've played that was any fun was Wolf Mountain, which still isn't as good as most of the main campaign levels. The other DLC levels were apparently made by a third party company and it shows, they're short and feel thrown together and aren't very challenging or fun.

As for weapons it's always nice to have more weapons but honestly the best guns I've used in the game are the ones that came from the start with the base game or with free DLC.

TLDR just get the base game, it's great and has lots of good guns. The Lee-enfield is decent and the Trench gun is great, and both were free update guns. Survival mode is awesome. If you fall in love with the game and feel like you need more then by all means buy the DLC but otherwise just wait for the inevitable sales down the road.

Thanks for the confirmation! Yes it is weird that the DLC is costing more than the base. As a die hard SE fan, I will still get the deluxe, but will hold on to SP2, either I am convinced after I played the base and SP1, or SP2 is on sale to a price I cannot resist. A lot here was saying it is not as good as SE4, which has already set the standard.

Absolutely. If you think it is not worth, then just buy the base game which is good enough. To me I am a SE fan so will buy the Deluxe version and play it. If SP2 is good then will buy, else will skip.

I picked up the base game on sale, and I'm going to wait til they're done with the game (it's a year old, and they're still pushing out 30Gb updates?) and all the DLC are out. Then I'm going to get the DLC that have actual missions and content, and scoff some more at the skins and weapon packs. Sorry, not going to pay $3 for a DLC that is one pistol and NOTHING else.

Actually the only reason why I bought deluxe is due to target führer. The weapon and skin pack don't interest me actually. Ask me if it's worth? Well if you are not a die hard fan, answer is no. Just wait for some sale/offer going on and buy it. However if you want to have a continuation after finishing the base game, then deluxe is worth getting. Only thing is the price, which will deter a lot of players.

Its on sale now yes. The game is good i enjoy it i think its one of the better out of all the Sniper Elite Series. DLC adds the ghillie suit so yeah its pretty cool makes the game feel a bit a bittt more authentic.
