Getting through doors locked from the other side.

Not sure how many of you know this, but when finding a door that is locked from the other side, all you need to do is use your pistol with armor piercing bullets, and shoot the three metal plates where the lock is normally found. Also works when you can see the lock. Works great when your lazy like I am and don't want to pick the lock, lol.

Good, however pistols struggle vs helmets without AP ammo... game is giving you a choice for your limited resource here.

i wonder if you can use the Resident Evil 4 trick, by putting your back to the locked door, and then equipping your scope, and then quickly attempting to unlock the door, which might clip you through the door to the other side.

Yea, I need to work on that. IRL I can hit a quarter at 30 yards with a .22 given infinite time to aim and focus ... but the game makes a guy's head at half that distance rough for me. I haven't had 5 long and don't pistol much, so practice... as you said..
