"Link to Epic Games"

Dude I am playing on Steam, why would I want to link my steam account to epic games? Is there a way to turn this prompt off every single time the game loads???

Still prompting me to log into Epic Games when I launch SE:5, I don't care about Epic Games, will never make an account. Please fix, it's been nearly a year since a dev said they were working on it, can't be that hard to fix

They just lack the motivation to fix this as its an annoyance instead of a game breaking bug

I'm tired of denying access every time I start the game, if I had been interested in linking an epicgames account on Steam I would have done it before, but I'm not interested at all, is there a solution for this?

it's 2024, it's still launching the browser to force you to link epic every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time you launch the game. in steam.

Hey there! Just mentioned this in the other thread, but popping it here too. I'm really sorry to hear this is impacting some of you, we completely understand how frustrating it is. We're actually working our way through the investigation of this bug as we speak.

We'll let you know if we need any further information from you, or we'll announce if we find a fix. In the meantime, your general gameplay *shouldn't be impacted (let us know if this isn't the case) if you just select the SE5 window and resume play as normal.

I appreciate that you replied here to say you're looking into it but I have to comment that this is still happening.
I'm going to disable crossplay next and see if it still happens. I don't have epic games installed.
edit: yeah it still pops your browser open even if you had crossplay disabled the last time you played. Pretty disappointing.
