Kraken DLC They want $10.99. Well, is it worth it?

I paid extra on this game to begin with, I paid for a season pass earlier despite paying more, and now they want $10.99 for this DLC. Not happy about this. Well, what do you all think about this latest DLC?

I'll wait to hear? Otherwise I am considering buying $41 Elden Ring on sale right now. Good grief!

The mission is pretty much War Factory with an aircraft carrier in the middle of it.

The new pistol isn't great or terrible. It's fast and it sounds cool.

I'd say wait for it to be on sale. I don't feel it's worth more than $5 as it's a fairly boring and repetitive map, and if it's this game's big finale, it doesn't really feel like one.

Out of the DLC missions, this was my least favorite.

More money pit. Avoid all further offerings. They should have come with the original purchase as the game was not complete in many areas, downloads appear to be all the new stuff but not accessible unless you pay but takes up all your storage. Updates are too massive and not some patch.

Opinions will vary I'm sure (as they should), but Kraken Awakes is, to me, easily the best DLC mission map added so far. It is large, well laid out (with tons of paths built in for stealth and exploration), solid objectives and semi-decent enemy placement (still could use more baddies added I believe). Landing Force is a close second for me, but this blows away Conqueror, Rough Landing and Wolf Mountain. I plan on replaying this one many times and finding all the nooks and crannies. The pistol and cosmetics added I can take or leave, but this is a fine mission to end season 2 on. I just hope season 3 has this level of quality throughout, as well as a cohesive story plot through the mission maps. After all, as Karl noted earlier, "Paris won't liberate itself."

Best DLC. Vast map. Lots of sniping to prepare for carrier access then lots of assault inside carrier. Gee, $10.99 - a movie ticket. I dont get it.

I also thought this was the best DLC map. Weapons and skins, I could take or leave. The game play is the most important and this one had plenty. Yes, it does borrow from War Factory a bit, but that's not a bad thing. The attention to detail in the machinery and structures is great. There's plenty of ways to tackle the objectives, so the map doesn't get too repetitive. Perhaps more nazis would be better. At times it felt quite lonely!

Very large and good map. I like docks :) Nice positions to hide and snipe. I like it.

First, double check that your Season 2 Pass purchase completed correctly. If so, I highly recommend a re-install, as that should remove the issue of having to pay again for season 2 DLC.

Second, is it worth it?.....Maybe. Depends on your play style, and desire to play large, sometimes obnoxious and confusing, maps in single player campaign mode. The map is great, but the insides of the ship are laid out like a Medieval castle; as confusing as possible so you will end up taking a wrong turn, getting cornered, and wasting every med kit you can find numerous times.

As for the gun....it's OK. Rapid fire (800 to 900 rpm), decent damage (28 min, over 50 max), decent handling for aim, and decent for volume control (30m audible range if you rig for quiet running).. Like has been said, NOT bad, but very much NOT great. About the worst thing that can be said for it is that it is a TOTAL AMMO HOG!!! Seriously, it's the first time I've had to scrounge for pistol ammo, ever. And I tend to use my pistols sparingly as is.

If you think the map sounds fun, and if you think you won't mind managing this bullet guzzling pistol, then yeah, the Kraken Awakes DLC is worth it.

In short, no. Pretty disappointed with the new campaign map.

I think this mission is good. If you want to find and finish all side mission objectives it will give at least 1h:30min gameplay.
