Sometimes I suppose but more often then not these AI are far more complicated then 90% of the other games out there and dare I say 'realistic'.
Well, as compared to A.I from SE4 (Authentic Plus), yes they are actually stupid. And I say this after playing for more than 4000 hours in SE4 :)
Sensitivity being tied all to one thing and one thing moving really slow and the other really fast was just an instant nope from me.
Made it basically unplayable.
There again, the artistic backgrounds appear never to have been a problem in SE5.
The problems centre around A! and non-patched "campaign" games which appear to not be in Rebellions interest plot. 😡
Dav, this is my opinion based on Authentic mode. (I only play this mode)
1. The map is bigger than Landing Force and the Conqueror Mission.
2. Plenty of long shots with bullet drop and wind.
3. Number of enemies is more.
4. Finding the pilots is tricky if you are playing in Authentic and have not played in cadet mode (so no hints)
I understand. Sniper Elite 4 is my favourite! I simply love the Authentic Plus mode in that. It took me months to finish the campaigns (no manual save mode). The A.I is brutal. Simply loved that game.
I would give SE5 Five Stars only if
1. They introduce A+ mode
2. No manual Save Achievements in A+ mode like we had in SE4. I am still helping people get that achievement.
3. Brutal A.I
4. Dedicated servers like SE4. Ability to turn off Crossplay/Focus Mode/Incapacitation in the dedicated servers.
5. Ten Campaign and Ten MP maps. (For the price we are paying, this is the least that I ask)
Awesome! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Rough Landing. It's definitely one of my favourite missions so far. It took me quite some time to discover all the downed pilots!
What are you thoughts on the new Sjorgen Inertia shotgun?
I found it a bit too small (map wise) and easy to accomplish the mission goals.
while its nice to finally have the Moisin Nagant I get frustrated with the M1903 having a 16x scope but most of the others only 12x, why not just allow all rifles to have a 16x scope?
Like there were no 16x scopes or 12x in WWII. The Germans used 6x max and the US did have 8x on the M1903 so its not like its actually authentic to each rifle and era.

Suggestions:
Please give us camos that blend with the maps!
Do not include obscure weapons that never made it into operational useage.
Where's our M1 Garand, Lebel rifle/s, M3 Grease Gun, etc?
An option to customize load out e.g. 1 primary and 1 secondary would be very nice, as well as imposing a much greater penalty on Karl in speed and agility based on the amount of "crap" he's carrying. :)
Way too much pickups lying about in non sensical locations
Over all: An 8.5-9 out of 10 for me!

The M1 Garand Sniper vers really didn't see service either.
History says maybe the last few days of the War, maybe.
Due to all the issues they had etc.
As Tommy(Rebellion) would say it...
SOLDIER, that is a shot in CADET or SIMILAR mode...

I was playing Axis Invasion as Jaeger and got matched with a duo of Karl's in Rough Landing,
they had good rating numbers and I didn't think I would get out of there alive.
But the tank got both of them! I always thought the tanks were fairly easy to survive.
Did they screw up and got "caught" or is that tank AI smarter all of a sudden ? :)
I never got close enough to see what went on.
