New AI and missing trip wire traps
You know folks, I was just thinking about how frustrated I was when I first heard that trip wire traps were gone. Thinking about the many moments they saved me in my A+ runs in SE4, were the AI was coming from front and behind, trying (whether intentionally or not) to flank me.

But you know what I just realized: in SE5 it doesn't matter. Not even once did I come into any situation where the AI was trying to really circumvent my position and that I thought that tripwires would have made any difference.

So thanks devs, for simplifying the AI and taking out the unnecessary items we then do not need any more. Going down that road maybe in SE9 or SE10 we do not even need sniper rifles any more, as the AI will just nicely line themselfes up for us to shoot them. Way to go!

You're right - the tripmine was functionally exactly the same as the teller mine but without an anti-vehicular capability, so taking it out and replacing it with decoys and S-mines was a good change. :ss13ok:

If you really think that I cannot help you.
The proximity mine does not all ways kill though and they all so in some circumstances " depending on where placed " can sink into the ground rendering them use less, trip mines have been reintroduced to MP and i think should have at leaste being added back to Survival if not all modes . Trip mines were fun with tnt and could take out vechiles,

There was an issue early on with land mines frequently not going off, even in properly narrowed choke points. I have not had that issue though in quite a long long time, and I think it's been fixed? At least have not personally experienced this in many months.
