Map symbols
There are some symbols a see on the map but they're not explained by the legend, does anyone know what they are? The ones that come immediately to mind are: an X (maybe a body left out in the open?), a spinning triangle, and an asterix.

The X is where the person is carrying a letter. It will disappear once you search the body. I think the spinning triangle is when an explosive device you can shoot, not absolutely sure on this one. Asterix not sure, but I'm sure some better player will help you.

Thanks! After checking a bit, I think asterix is someone who is carrying a key.

hi, I checked out the spinning triangles. It is where you were spotted, don`t really see the point but there it is.

As people have already said but I thought I would write it out so it's clear.

White X collectable on a dead body, disappears after its searched.

* means a key, usually found on officers bit sometimes a scientist or elite jager troop will have it.

Sometimes they can also be hanging on a key hook, there's quite a few like that in mission 8

White triangle is when you have been spotted by a enemy sniper

Yellow triangle is when gunshot has been heard

Red triangle is when enemy knows that is your exact spot and will come to search.
If you have time before leaving a red triangle drop a mine or if a dead body is nearby booby trap it as they will investigate the dead body

Hope that helps

Sorry white x can also mean ammo location and elite weapons like mg42, sniper rifle or panzerfaust

That's weird. I see nothing like that in my game. Be nice if I could. What really kills me about this game, in contrast to SE4, is you can't mark corpses of interest so you can safely retrieve what they're carrying when a million Nazis aren't trying ti kill you. Like in SE4, you mark spotters and generals and snipers to get [artillery] flare guns, duty rosters, and reports. In this game, you are SOL.

I think the programming was done by a completely different set of programmers, cheaper ones at that. Usually companies who care more about money than their player base will go to some part of the world where it is cheaper to higher teams and farm out the work to them. Of course usually those areas are also a good 10 - 15 yrs behind on the state of the art so you see things like channelized maps where instead of the map being a place to explore different approaches ti is a tool to control the player. Makes their work a lot easier don't ya know.... Who cares if it is completely out of line for the type of game it is and customers spent their hard earned coin to buy the game. But they will care when their customer base deserts them, but usually they never look that far ahead.
