The Kar98 is the highest damage rifle, reaching something around 183 damage and becoming a one shot rifle regardless of where you hit someone. Load that ♥♥♥♥ with hollow points and nothing lives even if you hit their pinky toe. It is the closest thing to an anti material sniper rifle.
The RSC french rifle is the closest you'll get to the garand in the game, while G43 packs more power and velocity and M1A Carbine is easier to control with almost no recoil. G43 and its big kicks makes using it like a battle rifle a bit tough, it's easier to use the RSC and M1A more aggressively as I noticed the G43 misses wildly if you try to fire it quickly in a panic situation.
During the campaign, I use the Kar98 as it hits the medium of high damage, good velocity, while also decently quiet.
For multiplayer I use the RSC as I can run and gun with it and snipe.
The thompson is the best suppressor friendly SMG, but the MP44 is the closest to a "assault rifle" that can work close and medium range while being great in all situations stealth or not.
The best pistol is the Po8 as it gets the highest velocities and can be quiet at 28 meters while functioning as a pocket carbine for medium distance engagements. The 1911 is better if you want something with more raw damage, but the Po8 makes the best pistol to have on hand for almost all situations close and far if you are aiming for the head.
Everyone is free to use their favorite guns and play how they want, stealth is optional.
Hopefully this get addressed in the future; I had assumed the two new scopes would be stronger than x5 and x6 in Authentic for this exact reason.
I've tried the M1903's super scope and it is nice for long-range sniping, but it isn't great for short and medium range fighting, which is pretty common in the game. Fortunately you can always switch things around at the workbenches in the middle of a campaign mission.
playing around with the DeListle on the new map, feeling like sam fisher in splinter cell. HAHA

For the first season pack. They're pulling a Zombie Army 4 and doing multiple seasons to rake in the dough.
The other guns will be what looks to be a MAB.30, the HDM, and a Derringer (The novelty of suppressed weapons in this game is lost with the addition of being able to add a suppressor to every gun (minus the Webley and the PPSH)
