Stealth Nerf to Invaders
Patch notes don't say anything about how invaders are now unable to bring special ammo and can no longer shoot while incapacitated. we're reaching Elden Ring levels of CBT masochism for invaders. It's almost pointless to invade with how powerful Karl is and how gimped the invader is.
There was absolutely nothing done to balance out the invader's steeper handicap. you don't even get more standard ammo now. No AP ammo means Karl can just wallhack and corner camp with impunity and you have literally no answers for it. I've already never once died to an invader because of how braindead easy it is to find and kill them. As the invader, you will only ever kill brand new players that don't know holding alt shows you the direction and eventually highlights the jager through all terrain. Jagers still have the floodlight tier scope glint as well so distance combat is entirely out of the question as well since you can just be quickscoped by a Karl with an IQ above room temperature.
Oh, and you can't even see what objective the host is working on anymore too. You have no idea if it's a race to the extraction or if the're still working on the main objective. If the Karl has gone Rambo, that means there is now literally no way to approximate their location or where they're headed.

If they continue with this trend, the invader will only have a single weapon (sniper) pre defined, no grenades or mines, 5 bullets only and a cyanide pill in case you just cant take it anymore XD

That was not a stealth nerf, though... Invaders always had a very specific set of abilities and equipment. Last patch did not changing anything for me on that front...

I actually think it's ok for all the nerf, except the special ammo cut. No objective shown and other nerf just increases difficulty, and yet there are always solutions for the invaders. But no AP ammo really creates a nearly unsolvable situation when the defenders camp in towers or basement. I think before update it's pretty balanced, while after long camping the defender would be tagged automatically and the invader could shoot through wall with AP ammo, but the defender could also use focus mode to determine the direction of the invader and using the same method (AP ammo) to take out the hostile.

I think if the developers want to nerf the invader, they should not cut the special ammo but just reduce it. For example, like only 8 or 10 rounds. In that case, the invaders still have a solution to camping, but they need to shoot wisely.

Invasion mode brings so much fun to this mediocre sequel, and it's so sad that the developers didn't make it right. It's actually like a fighting game match up, you need to have a scoring system to determine how good or bad an invader or a defender is. If you put an A-rank invader in a D-rank newbie's campaign, it would totally ruin the defender's gaming experience. Vice versa, if a newcomer try invading for the first time, entering an expert defender's level, the invader would probably be killed by mines before even knowing where Karl was hiding. And then this player would think invasion mode sucks. Matching same ranked players is essential in an one-on-one VS game. IMO, It would even be better if the system could match players according to play style, like a stealth snipers duel, or a run-and-gun vs run-and-gun.

I don't think Rebellion could patch this (unless the game saves statistic of every single game of a player). Just hope they would do a better job in SE6. (maybe another five years later)

It's not a nerf, Invader is very powerful and killing Karl is easy. Only thing I dislike is the Special Ammo removal since I always used Match Grade rounds but it's just as easy to shoot them twice as it is once, especially if you incapacitate them with the first shot. Just my two cents from 250+ kills as Invader. Pro tip: sneak up on them or let them come to you and use your knife, half the time they get animation locked once you press E and can't escape anyways.

Meanwhile as Karl, using focus ability I always get the drop on them with ease. I only died twice from invaders all this time, and I'm certain I've netted more than 100 kills with Karl.

It's about getting the drop on the enemy first before the other does. Focus ability was meant to be a force multiplier in Karl's favor but from experience, very little know of it's existence and usefulness.

Ultimately it all comes down to skill.

How many kills do you have?
I have almost 200 as a Jager and I’m probably 50-0 as a Karl. You’re delusional if you think jagers have any chance against a competent player that knows they have built in wall hacks. God help you if it’s 2v1

How many kills do you have?
As Jager 140 kills, as Karl I don't know the exact amount but like I wrote, certain it is more than 100

just two hours ago, I got invaded 6 times, all jagers killed with the new D.L. Carbine

It's especially annoying when they sit around a corner with an SMG and you can't really do much, you are already limited on the stuff you have and if you somehow both get downed he can just shoot your ass while you gotta sit there and watch it all happen

The ESP given to Karl that shows Invader's location is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ especially when it's instant and 2-3 more times before you can ever use a phone, I agree. But I still kill people mostly by stealth with knife and have 255 kills now. Most players aren't good and even giving them cheats hardly improves their odds since their primary problem isn't skill but a complete lack of basic hunting and evasion knowledge when faced with a real player and not some AI intentionally handicapped to let them win.

I didn't even know Invader's could shoot while incapacitated until everyone started complaining that it was taken away. Are you all really mad your KDR isn't 100%? 8/10 matches I'm still winning.

Lol, KDR. Who the hell cares about KDR anyway? Sure, let Karl camp in his tiny little fortress while I have no way of countering him.
