Swap Side Cameras

Why when using controller changing side camera is more complicated than using keyboard and mouse?
When using keyboard and mouse I can simply just click the middle button or scroll wheel to change the side cameras while on controller I have to press LB first then press Y to change the side cameras?
I checked the controller layout it says hold Y to swap side cameras but when I just hold Y it didn't swap the side cameras.
