Sniper Elite 5

This will come in very terrible
I own an RTX 3080 ti graphics card. When I turned the game's display to the ultimate setting, I found that the Vram usage was as high as 12gb. Does this game have such high requirements for Vram?

Yes, on AMD it is going to 16GB on Ultra 1440p, and some ppl are reported that they got GPU device lost error with 3090 on Ultra 4K (used all 24GB). All beacause of high VRAM usage.

I wrote about that many times (done some testing with some ppl on reddit with different GPUs), but devs are not answering.

Set it on High and it will go about 9-9.5GB on 3080 1440p (if you are playing 1440p). Still a lot, but playable and without constant crashes or freezes.

Check my older posts about that issue.

Yes, I play at 2K quality.

Thank you for the information.

But on the bright side, it's like FurMark. When the GPU and Vram are fully loaded for more than an hour and the game is still stable, it means that the graphics card is fine.

The Sniper elite 5 should replace the 3D Mark in the future.

Give it a time. We tested on 3060 too, it takes all 12 GB and crashes on dx12 or stutter on Vulkan.
You have denuvo as well

VRAM is known to leak above medium settings.

Have played 300 Hours without Ram being affected. But i have seen in other games too. I will have to check it out when playing though, but does not affect the Gameplay.

I didn't crash on the ultimate setting, but I changed back to the high setting anyway. Because I'm not sure if this abnormal Vram usage could potentially negatively affect the graphics card.

I remember a case where the graphics card burned out while playing a game. The impression is New World.

VRAM consumption is not an indicator of a poorly coded game. Quite the opposite - a well-optimized game tries to load as many assets into VRAM as possible and then dynamically switch them out as needed.

Denuvo has nothing to do with VRAM.

Yes, from the beginning I noticed that this was the only game I have that uses all 12GB of my 6700 XT.

I just downloaded this game and started playing it with a friend. I play at 4k with a 7900 XTX, and at max settings I was using the full 24GB of VRAM in the card! First game to max this card's VRAM out, with modded Skyrim in second at 23GB. lol The VRAM usage in this game is what made me search Google to see if that's normal, and found this thread. Looks like it is. I can't believe a game like this would take up the full 24GB. However, it does look and run great on my system, and have had zero issues.

Remember what this game has to do all the time. I mean it's a sniper game where you play extremely detailed and huge maps with hundreds of enemies. I'm really impressed that it's doing so well if I'm being honest ;-)

The optimization of SE is very good, even GTX 1060 6Gb can have 60FPS performance under 1080P.

So hopefully Rebellion can maintain this level.

But the stability of the game is very poor, and the update method is also very clumsy, which must be improved in the future.

In terms of game content, I was pleasantly surprised by the second campaign of season pass 2, which is what SE should have. Hope to keep it up. Also looking forward to the snow scene.

Looks like the game uses whatever resources you have available. But if you have lower resources available the game still runs fine if you meet the min specs. My experience with it anyway.
