Headphones not working

For some reason the headphones work when the Rebellion appears when loading; then there is nothing. I have all Sniper Elite series and this is the only one I cant use my headphones!

Try going into Sound Control Panel -> Click on your default sound device -> Click Properties -> Click the Advanced Tab -> Change the Default Format to the 2 Channel, 16 bit, 16000 Hz (Tape Recorder Quality) setting.

I had this issue recently happen with Sniper Elite 4 and that fixed it for me. Hope that helps.

Did you set up the game to use your headphones etc in the settings before hitting play? There's a cog next to the play button on the launcher. I had to do this as well.

Well all is now OK after changing the App volume & device preferences of STEAM from default to Identify my headset. It still does not answer why when all the other Sniper Elite apps work fine with default!

I got mine to work with headset I set mine to Xbox controller headset

I'm just mystified why this happens to you at all, bparr. It's got to be a driver-related issue with audio equipment released after the game was developed. I've been using wired earbud headphones with a built-in mic (which function that I have absolutely no use for!) with all of my games, but the only issue that I have with them regarding this game is if I have the game's audio output through desktop speakers and then plug in the headphones: The audio doesn't get passed through the headphones, but stays with the Bose desktop speakers. Easy fix, though: Save, quit ti desktop, and relaunch. There are a couple of games that I play that don't "like" it when I switch audio equipment when they're running.
