Anyone built one of these? Are they worth the price tag? Already got a full high-speed railway line in place, so is it worth the premium to build the hyperloop?

They're cheaper than HSR and faster. Prefer HSR for regional transit and Hyperloop for long distance and cross country.

It's insanely good to connect major agglomerations around a larger area. I used one to do Paris-Brussels-Amsterdam-Hamburg and it skyrocketed tourism income, gdp and relations with countries. though, through some odd bug i am not able to decide to pay all the money for the bloody thing so that countries with a lot of deficit would accept. Berlin-Warsaw-Kyiv was another plan of mine, but impossible to get it accepted.

Yeah they are pretty good, just chose the destinations carefully. My suggestion, connect your capital with an economic hub, like in India, Delhi to Mumbai. The results are amazing.
