Deadcells tries really hard to be 2D RogueSouls and it does it well. It does collabs and expansions and honestly does desevere the praise that it gets. But It's a bit much for me, Looking at items and modifiers I don't want to sit and contemplate "do I want ice grenade? I get a lot of damage when they're on fire..." For me it leaves too much to chance.
30XX is a relatively simple game, no offense to the developers. But it's that simplicity that makes it easy for me to pick up and play a run. Don't get me wrong they have a lot of interesting power interactions but I don't get to see them because the Entropy Modifiers are questionable; but it provides a linear scaling to the game.
I did enjoy my time with Dead Cells though, but 30XX really scratches the Megaman X4-y gameplay itch for me despite it being a little rough around the edges.

Oblivion Override doesn't play like Megaman X.
You may excuse yourself from the table now.
