30XX

Beat my first run today. A few tips
Wow, what a blast. As many have mentioned, this game is DIFFICULT. I've beaten 20XX on the hardest difficulty plenty of times with modifiers, but I struggled with 30XX. It's partly because the stages and bosses are new. But you also can't rely on the exact same strategies as in 20XX since the aug distribution is a bit different. As always, luck plays a big factor too.

The "Dr. Wily" stages of 30XX are absolutely amazing. Just keep grinding away until you get there, it's worth it.

Tips:

1) Go for attack damage, especially the aug that gives you +1 attack damage at the start of every stage. If you can get a few of those you're golden. Enemies dropping health is your second priority. Movement speed is also key, since you can

2) Put on the modifier that makes each stage longer to +2. This gets you a lot more opportunities to get augs before the difficulty ramps up.

3) Turn on some visibility options. I turned on a black border around the player, enemies, and projectiles, and faded the background to white by 10%. This would make a really good default, to be honest.

Same deal, this game is now an even better homage to the Z(+)X games, and you will love the last part.

My advice?

1 - Unlock those Protoaugments! Not only are they spicy, but let you build quite the play styles, like power focused characters and such.

2 - Repros still are very viable! You can also get an inmense amount of passive evade % on hit with them through a Core! THAT was the secret of me beating the game so early!

3 - For Nina, Whirlwind + Shield = Best fusion, fish early for it if possible! Fast tap it when on a tight spot, hilarious if you got Reflect power upgrade.

Repros are absolutely viable. I've managed to beat Boss Rush taking the Zookeeper's Burden prototype right away (one of every Repro, attacks and powers disabled). Those little guys can put in some serious work.

Cores parts are important. Leg cores are powerful. Leg core will allow a player to skip certain section of a chunk.
