I don’t get the logic of difficulty. Someone please explain.
Games says, in easy and easiest difficulties, you get help for the footwork and shot selection. So even if I get an OK timing, it goes for six. I don’t mind that.

The problem is, I was playing in hard and hardest difficulties. Lot of times when my footwork, shot selection and timing were Good, Good and Good, I end up getting caught inside the circle. I don’t understand this, how I get caught inside the circle? I don’t mind getting caught inside the boundary line because all 3 factors are not ‘Ideal.’ At least it has to take the ball close to the boundary line.

because sometimes hitting a perfectly times shot isnt good enough when the bowl is pitched right on that sweet spot which is known as an unplayable ball. you also have to select which balls will be easier to hit for six

I can understand your point if the shot selection is okay or poor, but that is also 'Good'.

You can go into custom difficulty settings to see exactly what the modifiers for each difficulty setting is, that'll solve your doubts. Among other things, there are sliders for the chance of edging the ball on 'Poor', 'OK', and yeah, even 'Good' conditions, though obviously you have a much lower chance to edge off a 'Good' hit compared to a 'Poor' one. If you're playing on the highest difficulties, you have to consider that there'll be a chance to edge any ball you don't hit at 'Ideal' conditions, so you either have to

1) adapt to play/leave balls with that always in mind

2) turn down the difficulty

3) create your own custom difficulty with those particular sliders turned down if want to keep the game generally hard but you think those specific conditions are too unfair.

Yeah right custom difficulty is the way to go I think. I just wanna enjoy the game and have fun you know. And play it real. Thanks for the comments.

The batting feedback that you see in the HUD is not authentically final...

Its just a basic feedback that you are given...

It has been known to be buggy in the sense that despite having the "feel" of hitting the perfect shot, it may show other than ideal and vice versa...

Best way is to turn it off in the settings & focus on getting used to the "feel of the shot" every ball that you face...

Further you can tweak the "timing window slider" in the Batting sliders to suit your style..It will take few overs in casual matches to find your sweet spot...but it will be very rewarding & that will be the true feedback for you rather than the feedback on the HUD...

Give it a try

Hope it helps

I always try to improve based on the feedback. So that’s why I am more concerned about the feedback they give me.

I gotta try different ways of playing shots then. It takes some time anyway.

Thanks for the information. I will try that.

Also, pretty sure the perfect shot etc is in relation to the ball delivered and your position on the crease. You can hit the perfect shot to the particular ball.... but if they stuck a fielder there... your still out
