Struggling to take wickets in carerr mode

I've start two carrer modes with a fast and spin bowler and have not been able to take a wicket in the first 5 or so matches. I'm playing on easy mode. I never had an issue on previous games.

Anyone else finding it tough going?

Im playing as a finger spinner and struggling for wickets too ...economy rate is good just no wickets to show for it lol

Yeah same here. It's not easy to pick wickets in career mode, the career mode is designed like that, once we level up and use our perks and other ability points it may get easier to pick wickets quickly.

It's just coz of the skill level! The higher you get, more easy to pick wickets! Cheers

I've been having the same problem as a fast bowler in career mode, but i did manage to take 4 wickets in a 3 day match last night, it can get frustrating getting hit all over the place but keep at it and the wickets will fall sooner or later.

I disagree with the skill-level part of the discussion. I mean in early stages of one's career the batsmen aren't international-level. It should be moderately difficult to take wickets. In this case, it does seem the opposite however.

Are you varying your deliveries and setting fields for catching? Are your perks chosen to highlight your strengths? I'm not great at the game and generally take 2/3 wickets a game as a swing bowler.

career mode is insane at time. I am playing in some northern club league and the bowlers all play like they are test match quality.
The games ai seem totally unable to differentiate between different levels of cricket. Hence club cricket seems to play like its a test match quality. more lazy programming from BA

I've levled up and adjusted AI difficulty which has worked. Seems as you progress it get easier.

I am facing it too. I guess going up the skill tree may help in future.
